Ok, I hope you guys like this conference, because I’ll be talking about it for the next couple of days! Soo much to tell you! Let’s get started. (and yes, some of these pictures will be the same as yesterday’s because I never explained them) Day 2- Friday:
The schedule said yoga, but we started off with the hardest pilates class I’ve attended. It was awesome and I definitely worked up a bit of a sweat. Awesome way to start the day!
We had a bunch of presenters, first of which was the lovely Janae. I don’t want to write a novel with this post (just a short story), so I’ll give you more details on what I learned in future posts.
She’s amazing and I look up to her so much. Can’t wait to celebrate her birthday this week!
Two of the other presenters that I will tell you about right now are these doctors who are neurologists who specialize in repetitive injuries, among other things . I made an appointment with one of them during lunch and found out that I don’t have true plantar fasciitis. I have a dropped metatarsal (which he tried SOO hard to pop back into place but it wouldn’t go), so he gave me exercises to do to strengthen the muscles on the outside of my left leg to support the bones in my foot better. Hooray for figuring out what’s wrong and having a solution!
One of the things we learned from their presentation was that tilting your head to the side automatically in pictures is not a good thing. It’s a sign of some sort of neurological imbalance. Steph and I realized we both do this so we tried tilting our heads the other direction and it felt very unnatural. So of course we took an awkward picture of it and posted it to social media.
They also had tons of chances to win things throughout the day! So fun! Stephanie won this kit of Dolterra oils by running around the room first!
I competed in a wall sit competition…
And won a FREE entry to next year’s retreat!!!!! Who’s coming with me?!?! But seriously, because of course I’ll be back!
Between the end of the formal part of the retreat and dinner, Steph and I went to visit my high school bestie Stacey and her two girls! Baby was born just a few short weeks ago. So sweet!!!
And Big Sister was as fun as ever! She warms up to me faster and faster the older she gets. I love it because then the fun starts sooner 🙂
Finally, we got in a nice pizza, yummmmmy breadstick and salad dinner before heading back and getting some much needed sleep.
Tomorrow I’ll fill you in on the race. Sneak peek: it was lots of fun and medals were won. No, I did not mean to rhyme.
What’s your favorite thing you did this weekend?
Favorite pizza toppings?
Anyone have a new baby??
