I realized as I have taken a step back from the blog and changed its dynamic, I have talked a lot less about the day to day happenings of my life. So I thought I would take a moment and tell you a little of what life in the last few months has entailed for me: weddings and babies. Lots of both.
In March my cousin Aislin was married to Jarrett. We had a grand ol’ time all that day.
Exactly one month later, on April 17, my little sister Emi married Trevor. I got to be Maid of Honor. It was an honor.
My friend Lisa was married just over a week ago – oh and I chopped my hair about a month ago. (Also, my coworker was married a couple of weeks ago but unfortunately I don’t have a picture from their reception)
My cousin is getting married in a couple of weeks and I’m pretty sure I have more weddings throughout the summer. They just keep on coming!
It also seems to be baby time right now. I was telling someone that a lot of my friends were having babies and I ended up counting 8 plus a couple of other bloggers that I follow but don’t actually know. While a couple of them have been born, most have not yet. But don’t worry, as soon as one’s been born, another friend has announced her pregnancy, so the babies just keep on coming! I have 3 invitations for baby showers right now. I’m going to go broke buying all the cuteness.
This is my sweet little “niece” Addie who was born by emergency c-section at 33.5 weeks. I got to hold her last night for the first time and it was the best. I just love all 4.5 lbs of her!
I have been to quite a few movies lately (as my sister has pointed out numerous times. oh well), so here are the ones I highly recommend:
- Imitation Game – soo good!
- McFarland USA – just as good as Remember the Titans. I don’t say that lightly.
- Cinderella – <3!!!
- Pitch Perfect 2 – hated the first one, enjoyed the second one.
- Cokeville Miracle – amazing! Cried for sure. I went to a pre-screening a couple of weeks ago but it comes out June 5. Check out the trailer here.
Summer is my least favorite season (blah heat!!!) but I am excited to go hiking, make a couple of trips up to Bear Lake and I do love July 4th and 24th (Utah Pioneer Day). In fact, I already have two hikes planned for this week! Might as well make the most of it right?
I don’t have any great summer plans trips planned yet, though I’m hoping to do a NYC/Boston trip in the fall. Doesn’t that sound awesome?? I am really hoping that happens.
Well, that’s about it. I’ll keep you caught up as more happens. Peace and blessin’s. xo.
